Primoco UAV SE, the Czech manufacturer of unmanned aerial vehicles, and the Military Technical Institute s.p. have concluded an agreement on strategic co-operation.

Primoco UAV SE, the Czech manufacturer of unmanned aerial vehicles, and the Military Technical Institute s.p. have concluded an agreement on strategic co-operation in the use of unmanned aircraft. The co-operation will focus on the integration of the aircraft and its ground equipment into military command and control systems, certification and testing of aircraft according to NATO, Czech Republic security and military standards, as well as expanding the aircraft’s ground security through unique means developed and manufactured by the Military Technical Institute.

Primoco UAV One 150 models produced by the Radotín factory represent technological leadership in their field achieving performances significantly exceeding the competition. This year, the aircraft reached a world record in its weight category with a flight time of over 15 hours, and in May this year, in co-operation with the Czech Police, it was also deployed in the EU for the first time to guard borders in flight beyond the control of the pilot at a distance of up to 70 km of the control station.

The CEO of Primoco UAV SE, Ladislav Semetkovský, commented on the conclusion of the agreement: “We greatly appreciate the possibilities of co-operation with the Military Technical Institute, as its unique capabilities allow our aircraft to be fully involved in the control structures of the integrated rescue system and the army so that they represent a highly effective and safe means for monitoring and control. In terms of the scope of capabilities of the Military Technical Institute the co-operation offers us coverage of a wide range of needs, as the Military Technical Institute and its subsidiaries can fully connect ground and air vehicles and Primoco can also benefit from their many years of experience with unmanned aircraft.”

The General Director of the Military Technical Institute Jiří Protiva emphasizes the potential of co-operation: “Primoco UAV is mainly focused on exports and our co-operation in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles enables the Institute to penetrate new markets with its capabilities. In addition, it is an area with which the Military Technical Institute has historically extensive experience and to which it wants to devote intensive attention in the future in view of the worldwide increase in the use of unmanned aerial vehicles. We are very pleased that in the competition of several possible foreign companies, Primoco has chosen the Military Technical Institute to co-operate with, as this is an appreciation of our expertise.”
